Open Drop a Memory, select Photo, and choose a photo. Continue to add your name, an optional caption, and sharing permission. Preview it, then tap Drop Memory. With host approval enabled, the photo waits for approval.

How soon will my guestbook be ready?
The $49 self-serve Guestbook goes live once payment is confirmed. For custom-designed packages, you receive an automatic request confirmation, a personal reply from Caitlin within 24 hours, and your completed package within 3–5 business days after payment and all needed event details are received.
What can guests upload?
Guests can share up to five photos in one post, a video up to 60 seconds, a voice message up to three minutes, or a written note. Current iPhone and Android browsers are supported, with no app or guest account required.
Can I download everything?
Yes. Download an individual original at any time or use Download All in the private host dashboard. Download All creates one ZIP with the original photos, videos, and audio plus a written Guestbook Live transcript.
Is the guestbook private?
Every Guestbook Live uses an unlisted, public-by-link address such as guestbook-live.com/sally-doug. Hosts can make the whole guestbook private or view-only, keep all submissions in a private collection, and control which approved posts appear. Optional guest passcodes are in development and are not included in the current release.
Can I approve, hide, or delete posts?
Yes. Choose approval for every post, automatic safety filtering, or a host-only private collection. From the dashboard, a host can edit, approve, hide, unpublish, download, or permanently delete an individual post.
Can we collect submissions before showing them?
Yes. Approved submissions can appear immediately, wait for a host to press Reveal now, or stay hidden until a scheduled date and time. Guests can continue contributing while the public collection waits for its reveal.
What URL do we receive?
You receive a memorable Guestbook Live link in the format guestbook-live.com/sally-doug. Guestbook Live does not promise a customer-owned domain. Standard uploads remain open through 90 days after the event date; included hosting and host access run through 12 months after that date. Event-specific dates or your written proposal take precedence. Download before access ends; ask Caitlin about an individually confirmed extension.
What storage and upload limits apply?
Standard events include 10 GiB of storage (about 10.7 GB), counting originals and display copies. Your host dashboard shows your event’s allowance. Each photo may be up to 20 MiB, each voice file 15 MiB, and each video 75 MiB. Uploads pause when the allowance is full; contact Caitlin before your event if you need more space. Abuse-prevention rate limits also apply.
What happens after the included hosting period?
Download your collection before your included access ends. Contact Caitlin before expiry to discuss an extension; availability and pricing are confirmed individually. There is no automatic renewal or published automatic-deletion schedule for completed memories. A downloaded ZIP stays with you; continued online access requires a separately confirmed arrangement.
Who owns the memories?
Guestbook Live does not claim ownership of a guest’s original contribution. Guests must have permission to share what they upload, and the underlying copyright remains with its creator. Hosts receive access to view and download the event collection.
Can memories appear live at the event?
Yes. Guestbook Live LIVE can show approved contributions on a projector, TV, monitor, or event display and refresh as new memories arrive. Guests contribute from their phones while the wall becomes part of the celebration. Display setup is confirmed for the event separately from the package tier.
Can people contribute after the event or from home?
Yes. Anyone with the event link can contribute while submissions are open, including guests who could not attend. Hosts can switch the guestbook to view-only or private whenever they choose.
